Christmas Concert

This year, our play, "No Room at the Inn," was written by the teacher, Carol Vaage, and the music was organized by Marilyn Kerley, our music specialist; parents prepared the costumes; and the children performed beautifully, rising to new levels of confidence and expressiveness. It was an endeavor of collaboration. You will be able to share in the spiritual gift by viewing the photos below.

Everybody is in costume and ready.

Our majestic angelic choir!

The first Narrator set the scene in Bethlehem.

Mary and Joseph enter.

Joseph's Aunt and Uncle look for Mary and Joseph in the crowds.

When they didn't see Mary and Joseph, they invited caravaners to stay with them.

Mary and Joseph arrive in Bethlehem to stay with relatives and try to find room at the inns. Finally, they are offered a clean stable.

The second Narrator continues the story with the shepherds and angels in the outlying fields.

The third narrator describes the story at the stable with the innkeeper's children helping Mary and Joseph.

Samuel, the innkeeper's son, chats with the three kings who want to enter the stable.

The children practiced and memorized many lines of dialogue to prepare and perform this script. The evening of the performance, we overheard many comments from the audience about the amazing accomplishments of these young people, and their incredible memories.

They not only learned the words, but internalized the Christmas story through drama, worked with the sound system , but also remained present in their role even with the large audience.

The choir learned many verses to several songs, and their voices were truly heavenly choirs.
